DN-Systems GmbH exclusively implements and works with free software released for use under GPL. This is why we are not only interested in gaining from the Free-Software-Community but also in contributing to it. Therefore we support and sponsor free software and research projects in areas such as IT security, networking, software development, education for young people and multimedia.
Housing of the Cubic-Team-Servers
At http://www.cubic.org you can find the servers of the Cubic-Team, a multimedia demo group that has been awarded several international prizes for their outstanding work. Cubic-Team is an association of programmers, designers and musicians. Long before the term "multimedia" became widely adopted the Cubic-Team did pioneering work in this area and was among those setting the trend by developing demonstration applications. DN-Systems GmbH provides Cubic-Team with internet services - from the domain itself to the housing of their servers.
Housing of the Open-Router-Project
DN-Systems GmbH provides the Open-Router-Project with a server as well as part of its laboratories. This project is focusing on the development of a free router that is entirely based on GPL software. The router is supposed to completely replace a Cisco border router. Among other things Open-Router offers support for G703, 2MBIT WAN, FastEthernet, FDDI and DSL. The intention is to develop a complete ISP-Level-Router that can be used for the intranet as well as for the internet.

DN-Systems employees support non-profit organizations, such as GCC-Team and Linux International with presentations and talks and attend events within the Free Software community on a regular basis.
